The Arena Revival Project (TARP) - History
Origins
The Arena Revival Project (TARP) was founded with the goal of reviving duel and competitive play in classic and modern arena FPS games. The project initially focused on Warsow/Warfork but expanded to include Reflex Arena, CPMA, Quake Live, and other idtech-based shooters.
Project Timeline
Early Development
- [Feb, 2025]: Initial discussions started in various community Discord servers.
- [Feb, 2025]: The TARP Discord server was created to unite players across different games.
- [June, 2025]: The first structured tournament was organized using Challonge and Supabase for integrated support.
Infrastructure & Growth
- [June, 2025]: Integration of Challonge API into TARP’s website.
- [July, 2025]: Development of a custom Warfork/Warsow map redux-editor to support level design for competitions and simple fixes for ports.
- [Aug, 2025]: Expansion into Reflex Arena, CPMA, and other arena FPS titles.

Future Plans
TARP aims to:
